Future Mobility & Transportation Systems

Future Mobility & Transportation Systems

“Designing India’s vehicles today, and the mobility systems of tomorrow.”

Mobility has always been a basic human need, and in India it is also an economic lifeline. With rapid urbanization, rising vehicle ownership, and the push for electric and sustainable transport, India’s mobility sector is expanding at an unprecedented pace. This creates opportunities not only in traditional automotive design but also in EVs, two- and three-wheeler innovation, public transport, and emerging shared mobility solutions.

The MDes in Future Mobility & Transportation Systems at WUD prepares students to design vehicles and mobility solutions that are both practical for today and visionary for tomorrow. The program combines strong foundations in vehicle styling, visualization, CAD, packaging, and interiors with exposure to sustainability, digital prototyping, and human-centered systems thinking. Students engage in live projects with industry, ranging from EV startups to established automotive majors, while exploring the future of urban mobility, public transport, and intelligent systems.

Career Outcomes : Graduates are equipped for secure, well-paying roles in India’s fast-growing automotive and EV industries, while also being prepared to contribute to global mobility design. They can work with OEMs, mobility startups, design consultancies, or pursue entrepreneurial ventures in future mobility.
