Film & Video

B.Des in Film & Video

Film and video are no longer confined to cinema screens — they now drive storytelling across streaming platforms, advertising, digital media, social campaigns, and immersive experiences. The B.Des in Film & Video at WUD equips students with both the creative vision and technical expertise needed to thrive in this evolving media landscape.
The program builds a strong foundation in film theory, storytelling, screenwriting, direction, cinematography, sound, editing, VFX, and production design, while also introducing new-age practices such as motion graphics, XR/VR storytelling, and digital-first content creation. Students learn through intensive projects across genres — short films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and branded content — gaining hands-on exposure to professional cameras, lighting, sound, and post-production workflows.
With guidance from experienced faculty and industry mentors, students develop the ability to craft narratives that are visually powerful, socially relevant, and commercially viable.
