B.Des in Interior Architecture & Design

Interior spaces today are expected to be more than functional — they must be adaptive, sustainable, and experience-driven. In India, with rapid urban growth, rising aspirations, and the world’s second-largest retail market, there is strong demand for designers who can shape living, working, retail, cultural, and leisure spaces with creativity and responsibility.

The B.Des in Interior Architecture & Design at WUD trains students to design holistic environments that balance functionality, aesthetics, and human experience. The curriculum blends space planning, furniture and lifestyle product design, ergonomics, and building technology with advanced digital tools like AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, and SolidWorks. Courses in history, theory, spatial manipulation, materials, lighting, and human factors provide a strong conceptual base, while advanced studio projects explore diverse applications — from homes and offices to retail, exhibitions, museums, and hospitality environments.

With exposure to sustainability, smart technologies, and retail strategy, students graduate as versatile designers who can adapt to both local and global design contexts.
