MPA Dance
The Master of Performing Arts (Dance) at WUD is a 2-year postgraduate program that enables students to refine their artistic voice, deepen theoretical knowledge, and specialize in areas such as choreography, pedagogy, therapy, arts administration, or performance practice. Designed for graduates of dance and allied arts, the program adopts an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach, encouraging students to situate their practice within broader cultural, social, and technological contexts.
Students engage with studio practice, on-site collaboration, and screen-based performance, supported by courses in theory, critical studies, and arts administration. They also gain practical skills in self-management, promotion, and marketing, preparing them to navigate the professional performing arts industry with confidence. From the second semester, students choose a specialization pathway, developing professional projects under the mentorship of expert faculty, visiting artists, and researchers.
The program combines rigorous practice with critical debate, guiding students to explore dance in diverse contexts — from performance and education to wellness, community engagement, and digital platforms.

Career outcomes: Graduates are prepared for careers as performers, choreographers, educators, dance therapists, artistic directors, researchers, arts administrators, content creators, and consultants. Many also pursue doctoral research in performing arts. With growing opportunities in academia, cultural industries, wellness sectors, and digital performance ecosystems, this program ensures graduates are both artistically fulfilled and professionally future-ready.
