MPA Music
The Master of Performing Arts (Music) at WUD is a 2-year postgraduate program that allows musicians to specialize, innovate, and lead in their chosen field. Designed for graduates of music and allied arts, the program blends advanced practice, critical theory, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development. Students can tailor their journey across areas such as performance, composition, production, pedagogy, therapy, arts administration, or research.
The curriculum emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, encouraging students to collaborate with other performing and visual art forms while exploring new media and digital music practices. Alongside honing advanced artistic and technical skills, students gain expertise in self-management, promotion, and marketing, equipping them to navigate the contemporary music industry with confidence. From the second semester onwards, students develop professional projects under the mentorship of accomplished faculty and visiting artists, building a distinct artistic identity and portfolio.
By combining rigorous practice with theoretical grounding, the program nurtures musicians who are not only performers and creators but also innovators, educators, and leaders in the cultural and creative industries.

Career outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers as performers, composers, arrangers, music producers, educators, therapists, researchers, artistic directors, administrators, content creators, or consultants. Many also progress to doctoral research in music and performing arts, positioning themselves for academic and leadership roles. With opportunities across cultural industries, digital platforms, wellness sectors, and global music collaborations, this program ensures graduates are both creatively fulfilled and professionally future-ready.
